Reußenstein castle ruins

The Reußenstein ruins are the largest ruins in the Swabian Alb and are located above Neidlingen. It was built around 1270 as a ministerial castle. It was first called “Reußenstein” in 1371. The Reußenstein is a popular destination for climbers and hikers.

The ruins are located at an altitude of 760 meters above sea level. Situated on the Albtrauf, it offers a wonderful view of the Neidlinger Valley.

Reußenstein Castle is freely accessible, has a parking lot for hikers and can be reached from there after a 10-minute walk (without climbing).
