Of course, this also applies to your obligations and your rights with regard to psychotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>Before starting psychotherapy, we as psychotherapists are obliged to provide your child and you with comprehensive information about the appropriate psychotherapeutic measures and then plan these together with you.<\/p>\n<p>Both custodial parents must always agree to this as long as your child has not yet reached the age of 14. Before your child&#8217;s first appointment, we ask you to bring this confirmation signed by the parent who is not present. We will send you the relevant form by e-mail before your first appointment.<\/p>\n<p>It is also important to find a regulation for the psychotherapy of underage children and adolescents that both satisfies the parents&#8217; desire and right to consent and enables a protected discussion framework between the psychotherapist and the minor.
